Verse for the Week

I have challenged our church to memorize a different set of verses each week throughout the rest of our sermon series on the Armor of God. After all, if we’re going to use the only offensive weapon that He has given us, we’ve got to make sure we’re familiar with it and able to use it properly. That means we have to allow it to penetrate into the depths of our souls and become a part of us.

Here’s this week’s verse:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:8-10
