Writing it on Your Forehead

“Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.” Deuteronomy 6:8

This verse will always make me think of my friend in undergrad who was trying to impress a girl. They were talking about this verse one night. So the next day, he showed up in class with a verse written on his forehead in marker. The class situated in a semi-circle and he sat across from the girl. While he was participating in the class discussion, he conspicuously ran his hand through his hair, pulling up his bangs and revealing the verse written on his forehead. The one he wrote just for her.

Ah, the silly things boys do to try to get a girl’s attention…

HaHa! Yeah, I’ve done some pretty ridiculous things myself. Probably still do a few of them to grab my wife’s attention – just to keep her on her toes. 😉
