Rick Jett, Executive Director of IDES (a mission we support) shared with us during Sunday School and the worship service. I had heard of IDES before, but I really didn’t know everything they did. They have made an amazing impact internationally. The stories of their ministry to the typhoon victims was inspiring. I didn’t realize that they also work Stateside as well. Although he spoke on the Good Samaritan, his sermon tied right in with our series on 1 John. The main point: as our passion for God increases, so should our love for others. That certainly sounds familiar!
